1. HISTORICAL
The system logistic TRANSFLOTE proposed bases on a military
equipment system used during Second World War, so much
for English as for the Germans, that was modified and
adapted, also taking in consideration systems of river
transports used in current Europe and USA.
The system TRANSFLOTE takes advantage and already
improves existent technologies, summarized in cost
advantages, time of construction and functionality.
The present document simply intends condense arguments
presented during International Conferences on Industrial
Logistics.
The project
author has several years of experience with projects
of naval engineering, during which the generic methodology
for fluvial transport was developed that count the
theoretical basis for the present project,
more specific for the needs of fluvial transport of
agricultural products, wares, vehicles, equipments,
liquids and fuel and public transport.
The theoretical project belongs to Arquitec Naval,
a naval consultant company with several articles published
in recognized magazines and known so much national
as internationally.
In the case of the project TRANSFLOTE, the complementation
among the technical knowledge of naval engineering
and economical analyze of engineering projects should
provide the clients with a technical support of the
highest level in an area relatively new and of high
technology.

CHARACTERISTICS OF THE SISTEMA TRANSFLOTE
The innovations of the system TRANSFLOTE can be summarized
in the following way:
¤ The system proposed uses modulated barges from individual
pontoons modules, with small and dirigible propellers
or propelled with water
jets.
¤ The fitting system has high reliability, allowing assembling
and disassembling in medium periods of five hours.
¤ There is no need of a specialized tugboat, since one
of the barges can be self-propelled, nor port demands,
since the system includes pontoon modules for embarkment
and disembarkation platforms.
¤ The final system has great flexibility and it can be used
in shallow rivers, more characteristic of the main
fluvial systems.
3. ADVANTAGES OF THE SISTEMA TRANSFLOTE
The proposed system has assorted advantages, among which:
¤ Little influences of fluvial seasonality
¤ Easiness of implementation of links inter-modal transports
¤ Simple and cheap system of assembling and disassembling
of barges and convoys
¤ Possibility of transport simultaneous/subsequent of loads
liquids and solids.
¤ Applicable to other activities, besides transport, among
which civil construction and water works, for example
prospecting platforms, bridges constructions,...
¤ Double bottom of barges, satisfying the environmental demands.
